Step by step devil

I first started off by taking the sketch I did in my sketch book and scanning it onto the computer so I could go over it. I then put the image I scanned onto Photo shop and hooked my graphics tablet up so I could go over the outline of the sketch and to make it easier so its felt like I was still drawing on paper. I created different layers for each part i drew over for example in the first step the tail is on a different layer then the body.

Step 1: I drew the body and the tail with the flame at the end.

Step 2: I then went onto to add on the facial details and the horns on the body.

Step 3: I added one of the wings and the details on it to make it look like the wings where creased.

Step 4: The other wing and its detail.

Step 5: I changed the opacity of the brush so I could make the wing look grunge.

Step 6: After the doing the grunge bit and then over it with a red so it was darker, I then did a lighter red for the center of the interior bit of the wing so it showed depth, the same with the other wing but the outer layer is a bit lighter then the other wings outer layer. Added a bit of red to the flame of the tail .

Step 7 Finished tail flame.

Step 8:Colored the tail in.

 Step 9: added the color for the horns on the body and wings, and for the teeth, I also added in grey between the gaps in the mouth so it look like a dark void.

 Complete/step 10: I colored the body in and made the eyes a distinct color from the rest of the body
